(NE) FOOD SAFETY & QUALITY TECHNICIAN PART TIME WEEKENDS 2P-10P Part Time Technical Ellington, CT, US Job Summary: The Food Safety Quality Technician tests and inspects products at various stages throughout the production process to ensure product specification compliance. Evaluated data to maintain the quality and integrity of products. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties & Responsibilities: Inspects incoming ingredients and packaging material for conformance of product specifications. Audits blending and production processes. Maintains Quality Assurance (QA) record keeping, filing system, and housekeeping programs. Performs microbiological plating functions. Monitors compliance with CPF Water Quality Monitoring Program and executes the CPF Retain Program. Tracks all aspects of production for compliance to HACCP, GMP’s, SQF, and SOP’s. Responsible for calibration of laboratory and operational equipment. Ensures appropriate packaging and timely shipping of all Co-pack samples are complying. Inform the Quality Assurance Manager of any negative trends and initiates product on hold reports. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities: Excellentverbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with various teams. Thorough understanding of products and equipment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education & Experience: Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. One (1) year experience in a Food or Beverage Manufacturing Quality Assurance role. Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, Sanitation, and SQF Programs. Juice HACCP Certification. Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to perform assignments when needed. Prolonged periods of standing in factory and at times, sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
