Job Title: Azure IoT Architect

Location: Atlanta, GA (Remote)

Duration: 3 - 6 Months

 

Job Description:

As an Azure IoT solution architect you will lead the overall design and development of client IoT applications on Microsoft Azure. You will work with business leads to help develop a technical vision for the entire ecosystem as well as lead implementation teams all the way through post-production. You will be expected to provide input into final decisions regarding hardware, network products, system software and security. Working as part of a client team you will be engaged to build IoT solutions for customers, in a unique combination of – web applications (.Net, Java and JavaScript related), databases, machine learning, augmented reality, cloud connectivity (Azure, Amazon), industrial protocols, mobile apps (Android, iOS).

 

Required Skills

        Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure IoT Hub and related components like Azure Defender, Azure IoT Edge, Azure Stack, Azure Service Bus, Azure Web App

        Hands on experience in Azure IoT development platform (.Net application development, Installation and configuration of Azure IoT platform)

        Strong understanding of Timeseries database, Datalake, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL / SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL, OSI-PI

        Deep knowledge and understanding of developing connections with sensors and Edge computing

        Understanding of cloud infrastructure. Security and operations to ensure the scalability and maintainability of cloud native applications in public cloud environments (Azure, AWS)

        Experience with container runtimes and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes

        Versed in cloud security, particularly as it relates to SaaS deployments

        Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

        Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodology

 

Preferred Experience

        Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

        Microsoft Azure IoT Certification

        Minimum of 2 years of hands-on IoT, Industry 4.0 or Digital Transformation experience.

        Minimum of 5 years of software development experience building large scale distributed systems

        Hands-on technical lead with exposure and experience in a wide variety of cloud and IOT technologies

        Proven working experience in Java development Experience with developing web applications – JavaScript, REST, Ajax, CSS, HTML

        Experience working with databases – PostgreSQL / SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL

        Industry expertise in Industrial Manufacturing and Energy (Oil and Gas)
