This team supports the Spectrum Mobile 5G and Wi-Fi offload solutions by deploying network architecture to enable proof of concept solutions. The team will collaborate across the Wireless Technology organization by managing the network infrastructure and modifying it over time to meet the needs of the business. Teams that will frequently come in contact with will be Wireless Technology compute and storage infrastructure, network security, SIT/QA teams, access engineering, virtualization and cloud engineering, and 5G mobile software owners.</p> <p> </p> <p>Duties include:</p> <p>Provide network engineering design subject matter expertise for lab proof of concept initiatives.</p> <p>Manage ticket queue for lab hardware deployment / connectivity (IP / VLAN / Port Assignment, Rackspace / Power).</p> <p>Troubleshoot lab network anomalies and drive towards root cause / future prevention.</p> <p>Document, deploy, and validate solution in a lab environment.</p> <p>Document systems and applications in the lab environment to be used as deployment documentation for upstream operations teams.</p> <p> </p> <p>Required Skillsets / Experience:</p> <p>Network Engineering Fundamentals (CCNA level knowledge required, certification recommended)</p> <p>OSI Model</p> <p>Technical competence with at least one major network vendor hardware / software (Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, etc)</p> <p> </p> <p>Nice to Have Skillets:</p> <p>Project Documentation experience (Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence, etc)</p> <p>Exposure to Virtualized Environments (KVM, VMWare, Hyper-V, etc)</p> <p>Exposure to Spine and Leaf (CLOS) Network Architecture</p> <p>Exposure to EVPN and VXLAN technologies</p>
