1st Shift - Molding Machine Operator
Machine Operator - Molding Oven
TUSK Molding is hiring a Molding Oven Operator to support our plastics molding process. Experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly.
The Oven Operator position involves operating an industrial rotational molding machine while ensuring the highest quality of products through proper tool and equipment handling, machinery assembly, and product finishing guidelines. Schedule
5:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday with occasional Fridays as production volumes demand
To support production demands during peak season, team members who are flexible between 1st and 2nd shift are highly valued.
Duties and responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment, according to work instructions under the direction of supervision.
- Perform machine set up and adjustments.
- Physically handle and assemble large molds with overhead and twisting motions on 6 ft high platform.
- Load raw material, subassemblies, components or packing material into production or processing equipment.
- Accurately record required documentation and perform established quality checks
- Safely and efficiently use equipment and tools to perform work.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven ability to communicate and identify complex problems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Knowledge of forklift operation and basic power tools
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to read, write, work with simple arithmetic, and understand basic verbal and written instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally lifting up to 70 pounds
Working conditions
- Plant environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Requires occasional stooping, bending, stretching, and standing for extended periods.
