Job Information Position: Principal – Putnam Elementary School for the 2026‑27 school year. Closing date: May 20, 2026. Applications must be submitted through the Poudre School District job board; submissions through Connecting Colorado will not be reviewed. Employment type: Full‑time (100%). Work calendar days: 218. Duration: Ongoing. The district is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Pay Range $111,735 to $143,578.50 per year, based on qualifications and experience. (Rates are based on the 2025‑26 school year and will be updated during the 2026‑27 negotiations.) Benefits Health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, PERA retirement, paid time off, short‑term and long‑term disability, employee walk‑in clinic access, and other optional benefit elections. Summary Principal responsibilities include ensuring the safety and well‑being of students, delivering excellence in academic and co‑curricular programs, overseeing curriculum development, supervising staff, evaluating faculty, managing the school budget, and cultivating positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff, and the district. Job Tasks Direct building‑level curriculum and instruction to increase student achievement; stay current with research in curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Supervise, assess, and monitor student performance using objective and verifiable information, including standardized and district assessments. Evaluate and supervise school personnel to monitor performance, support professional growth, and achieve curriculum objectives. Establish and foster an adult learning environment, maximize collaboration, provide teachers with materials, inspire instructional innovations, and promote community. Advocate for students, staff, and the district to encourage community involvement and outreach. Develop and manage budgets based on documented program needs, student enrollment, personnel, and fiscal constraints; maintain fiscal control and report accurately. Manage use of school facilities; supervise maintenance to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe campus. Facilitate oral and written communication between personnel, students, and parents to evaluate situations, solve problems, and resolve conflicts. Represent the school at community forums to maintain support for educational goals and address school environment issues. Attend work and arrive on time. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, and Licenses Required Master’s degree and successful completion of a principal licensure program. At least five years of teaching/administration experience, including a minimum of three years of teaching. Valid Colorado Principal License. Valid Colorado driver’s license.
