4416 PostgreSQL Database Analyst 4416 | Top Secret Job Description: OVERVIEW: As a Database Analyst , you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. This role supports an intelligence customer in Springfield, VA or Arnold, MO and requires an active TS/SCI clearance . GENERAL DUTIES: Analyze, design, develop, implement, and support PostgreSQL database infrastructure. Manage the functionality and efficiency of server environments running one or more operating systems. Maintain database integrity and security, including configuring role-based access control (RBAC) and administrative/service accounts. Maintain documentation for database configurations, standards, and procedures. Interact with users and evaluate vendor products. Develop and monitor policies and standards for computing resource allocation. Develop and implement database testing strategies and document results. Provide performance tuning recommendations and end-user training. Maintain current knowledge of relevant database technologies. Evaluate open-source and vendor database tools and participate in modernization and migration efforts. Collaborate with developers on schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures. Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, and migrations. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience 5 + years of related database analysis and/or administration experience. Hands-on experience administering and tuning PostgreSQL databases. Experience implementing PostgreSQL high-availability solutions. Experience monitoring, creating, and managing PostgreSQL server agent alerts. Experience with database backup, restore, migration, and snapshot technologies/strategies. Knowledge of building and maintaining efficient database table structures for transactional and data warehouse environments. Knowledge of Oracle 19c administration and performance tuning. Experience migrating Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases. Oracle database administration experience is a plus.
