Project Manager IV - Project Delivery - San Francisco Public Works (5508) San Francisco Public Works Project Delivery Division is seeking a Project Manager IV for the Project Management Bureau. This Project Manager IV will be responsible for managing projects under the Facilities Renewal Program (over $200 million) which address facility needs for city-owned building systems including HVAC, roofing, elevator replacement and modernization, and other improvements to ensure safety and efficient City assets. Role Description Under administrative direction, the Project Manager plans, organizes, directs and controls all or part of either a highly complex engineering, architectural or information systems project from concept through design and construction to close-out of the project contract. Important and Essential Duties Your duties as Project Manager IV may include, but are not limited to the following: Executing solicitations for professional services and construction contract Overseeing activities in planning phase and completion of conceptual design Overseeing activities in design phase including assembling design team, participation in design coordination meetings, facilitation of issue resolution in support of the project objectives, and facilitating the regulatory approval processes Selecting project delivery methods and monitoring activities in construction phase Monitoring the project budget, funding, cost and schedule Reviewing change orders Coordinating work of multi-disciplinary technical staff across organizational boundaries Working extensively with the public, private contractors, special interest groups, governmental funding and regulatory agencies, and City and County departments Serving as primary contact for all parties involved in the project Supervision of other Project Managers and technical staff How to Qualify Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering or planning; and four (4) years of responsible architectural, engineering or construction management experience; and four (4) additional years of project coordination experience among which two (2) years in major architectural, engineering or construction projects or A Bachelor's Degree in another field; and six (6) years of responsible architectural, engineering or construction management experience in a field directly related to the project; and four (4) additional years of project coordination experience among which two (2) years in major architectural, engineering or construction projects or Eight (8) years of architectural, engineering, or construction management experience in a field directly related to the project; and four (4) additional years of project coordination experience among which two (2) years in major architectural, engineering or construction projects or California registration as professional engineer or architect; and four (4) additional years of project coordination experience among which two (2) years in major architectural, engineering or construction projects Note: One (1) year of full-time employment is considered equivalent to Two Thousand (2,000) hours. Any overtime hours above forty (40) hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment. Verification of Education and Experience All work experience, education, training, and other information substantiating how you meet the minimum qualifications must be included on your application by the filing deadline.
