As a Test & Evaluation Lab Tech , you will play a key role in supporting laboratory testing operations by configuring test setups, operating specialized electrical test equipment, and assisting engineers in validating product designs. You will collect and analyze test data, troubleshoot equipment and test setups, and help ensure compliance with industry standards for product safety and certification.
Key responsibilities include: Configure test beds according to established test procedures.
Operate laboratory test equipment, including current transformer probes, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data acquisition systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain laboratory test equipment.
Perform circuit troubleshooting and soldering repairs as needed.
Modify test fixtures and test articles using mechanical tools such as drills and cutting equipment.
Accurately document test results and support engineering teams with data collection and analysis.
Required skills Three or more years of related laboratory, electronics, or electrical testing experience.
Experience operating laboratory test equipment, including current transformer probes, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data acquisition systems.
Strong electrical troubleshooting, circuit analysis, and soldering skills.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to modify test fixtures and test articles using hand and power tools.
Ability to interpret technical procedures and accurately document test results.
Preferred skills Experience supporting aerospace, aviation, or other highly regulated industries.
Familiarity with lightning or electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing.
Experience maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
