AERO E&T - Sr Mechanical Design Engineer
Designs all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery for mechanical testing lab. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as fixtures, ducts, engine carts, instrumentation, exhaust pipes, adapters, etc. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Report to a manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.You Must Have:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical EngineeringDue to US export control laws, must be a US citizen, permanent resident or have protected status to support export restricted government projects.Experience with CAD software like Siemens NX.Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing for mechanical designs.Experience performing finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) activities on mechanical systems or parts.Experience with mechanical test fixtures, pneumatic ducts, assembly tooling, and rotating machinery.Knowledge and experience with Additive Manufacturing for plastics and metals.
