Complete Description:
The Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) is looking for an experienced, skilled, and motivated
Intern to join the team. As an Intern 3 contractor, the selected candidate will assist team
members with daily responsibilities as directed by his or her supervisor.
Requirement Description:
This position will function as a highly skilled Intern 3 with responsibilities to include:
- Document, monitor status and activity, review provider application submissions for
certification in a Medicaid waiver.
- Ability to accurately enter information into a computer, accessing information from a
computer, and verifying information on a screen.
- Update and document provider application submissions in specific software systems
currently utilized.
- Scan, file, categorize and index documents in electronic file storage rooms.
- Respond to emails and telephone messages in a professional and timely manner using
scripts, guidelines and/or templates provided.
- Work collaboratively in a team setting using shared administrative tools such as email, MS
Teams, shared file locations, etc.
- Ability to communicate with team members accurate and useful status.
- Ability to manage and report time spent on all work activities to keep supervisor appraised
of work status and attendance.
- Basic computer knowledge including experience with word processing software, database
entry, and spreadsheet maintenance and development.
- Willingness and ability to learn new subject matter and skills.
- Additional requirements may need to be met, depending on opportunity.
Experience Preferred
- Enrolled in secondary and post-secondary educational institution.
- Office 365 Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams
- Intermediate PC skills
