PRIMARY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Provide Information Management Specialist/SME advice and support to business functions including Information Lifecycle Management.
- Liaise with business workgroups to assess current state of information requirements for physical and digital records, coordinate record retention and clean-up activities where necessary, and establish evergreen programs.
- Analyse and propose solutions for Information Management issues for Canada Business Unit including, but not limited to
- develop and implement IM procedures,
- apply standard taxonomy,
- document management system configuration,
- SharePoint consulting and administration,
- train users at all levels for accurate information management including documenting procedures, processes, and workflows.
- Work with other IT and IM resources, Data Architects, Data Management resources, and Business Stakeholders to define, design and implement information integrity and quality processes for structured and unstructured information.
- Develop, review, revise, and implement IM standards and guidelines to support the Business Unit information management needs as well as in the areas of document management and repositories.
- Support deployment of Corporate IM initiatives. Actively support Business Unit and project teams in building and using their IM environment efficiently.
- Proactively identify and implement IM improvements opportunities related to projects and/or Operational Excellence processes.
- Participate in evaluations and implementation of new information management technologies. Understands the applications and systems which support the business processes and their interdependencies.
- Regularly assess the alignment of IM support efforts and results with the Business Unit, Corporation and Project's needs.
- Communicate IM systems and procedures effectively with the Business Unit users, project team Management and outside company contractors. Provide initial and refresher training as required to assure that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the policies related to information management and access.
CRITICAL SELECTION CRITERIA
- Must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience solving business problems.
- Must have 3 years of experience in the energy industry and/or experience managing teams in technology consulting.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience in either Data Management or Data Governance.
- Must be proficient in SharePoint and other Document Management system(s). Experience with Documentum is a plus.
- Ability to interpret and apply internal Information Management policies.
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modelling/mapping, and training end users.
- 0365 Power Platform (Flow, PowerApps, PowerBI) experience considered an asset.
- Agile/Scrum Methodology understanding considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills, including organizational skills, end user relationship building, and technical writing capabilities.
- Teamwork: Demonstrate ability to work productively in a team environment, both supporting other team members and contributing to the effectiveness and reliability of the team.
