We're seeking a versatile leader with experience growing and leading Digital Sales teams managing a blended portfolio of banks and credit unions for Retail & Commercial Banking.

As a member of the Digital Banking Sales Leadership team responsibilities will be focused on ensuring profitable and aggressive growth of Client's Digital Banking Solutions across Retail & Business Banking product portfolio. It includes the management of an assigned geographic territory to drive revenue goals through direct sales initiatives and attainment of a sales quota. Driving the team members to develop, deepen and retaining client executive relationships, extending contracts, as well as cross-selling new products and capabilities, are all critical components of this role. We are looking for a leader who leads from the front, by leading with example and being active in the field with the team members.

 

The ideal candidate is a dynamic professional with a zest for strategic conversations and ability to close business deals that effectively meet client needs and deliver on sales goals. Significant emphasis is placed on successfully educating and conveying Client position as the leading digital banking provider in the United States. Additionally, this position will be responsible for contract negotiations, proposal generations, forecasting, and supporting the overall sales goal by winning new strategic software, services and hardware business. This role will lead a team of 6 to 7 Digital Strategy Managers managing a portfolio of ~100 existing digital banking clients.

 

Key Responsibilities include

  • Leader being a player coach & helping team member with

    • Understand and guide financial institution (FI) digital strategies across retail and business banking & digital onboarding functions

    • Identify opportunities and cross-sell additional products to the portfolio of clients

    • Leading contract renewal negotiations for the renewals in the current fiscal year plan

    • Leverage effective sales methodologies to forecast and build a strong lead pipeline

    • Analyzing client problems, needs and requirements, and positioning products and services to meet them

    • Deepen relationships with client base, developing executive contacts across the organization

    • Plan and lead quarterly business reviews, tying client strategies to presentation content, sharing roadmaps and providing industry-relevant knowledge to help meet client growth objectives

    • Lead monthly strategic calls with executives, ensuring Client is meeting the expectations of the financial institution and that we are perceived as a partner vs vendor

  • Build a regional sales team

  • Manage a territory P&L

  • Lead a robust sales management system focused on funnel, renewal, add-on sales, revenue, gross margin, and expense and profit contribution

  • Development & execution of sales strategy and business plans

  • Capture competitive intelligence / voice of the customer

  • Developing individual team members into sales leaders

  • Prospecting, diagnosing client needs, crafting a potential solution, and establishing value

  • Driving access to decision-makers through valued interactions and leveraging relationships

  • Operationalize and execute against Client's strategy to further extend the company's position and profile in the marketplace

  • Formulate and advocate a people management strategy and high-performance culture which includes recruitment, development and retention of top talent; Foster and lead change, and create a mindset of innovation

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline

  • In-depth experience and understanding of the retail market and related competition

  • Background in SaaS and Application Software – Digital Banking, FinTech experience is a plus.

  • Manage the sales process and develop a strategic roadmap which aligns customer needs, issues, opportunities with industry best practices and our company's offerings.

  • Collaborate with customers and partners enabling them to experience greater business value from our company.

  • Experience in developing and executing solution sales strategies.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including establishing credibility and trust with partners and building influential relationships with the stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, Sales Ops, HR, Support Services, Marketing and Professional Services

  • Ability to work and manage in a matrix management environment.

  • Lead, coach and develop sales teams in growth environments
