ASSEMBLER1ST Shift: MONDAY-FRIDAY 6AM-2:30PM with mandatory OT that can extend the M-F work hours up to 10 hours and also requires every other Saturday as needed to meet production needs.**INCENTIVE BONUS**$200 incentive bonus after 30 days/$200 incentive bonus after 90 daysTo qualify, the associate must have NO MORE than 3 tardies/leave earlies. Requests for time-off will be reviewed and considered.No Call/No Show will AUTOMATICALLY disqualify the associate from the incentive bonus.JOB SUMMARY:Will perform a variety of jobs fitting together manufactured and purchased parts into subassemblies or complete products. These products can be mechanical, electrical or a combination of both. This individual will have the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to advance to the Advanced Assembler #1 classification.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:-Read and understand blue prints and routings to produce parts from them to the required specifications.-Responsible for the quality of the assemblies produced. -Perform first piece inspection and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality.-Responsible for the care of routine maintenance and keeping the work area neat and clean.-Follow all rules regarding machine operation and machine guarding.-Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality and safety.QUALIFICATIONS:-Possess the skill and ability to assemble manufactured and purchased parts into subassemblies or complete products. -Must be equipped with all the required tools to perform the functions of their job.-Able to operate assembly equipment such as rivet machines, assembly presses and power tools.-Physical ability to do work requiring frequent standing, sitting and bending, as well as pushing, pulling and lifting up to 30 lbs. frequently.-Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.-Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts.-Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly.
