JOB DESCRIPTION:

Shift 1Shift Start and End Time 7:00am to 3:30pm (overtime as required)Responsible for assembling component parts for rail signaling and communications. Tasks may include but are not limited to: Connecting wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points. Make electrical wire terminations - cut wire to specified lengths and routes, combs, twists, wraps, ties, and attaches wire to terminal points. Disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes, reassembles as required. Performs incoming, raw material and final manufacturing inspection and/or audits of quality control programsDuties may consist of, but not limited to, working from production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches, bills of materials and verbal instructions to produce electrical or Electro-Mechanical subassembliesPerforms tasks that require knowledge of a combination of processes, operations and equipment.Frequently required to use fine motor skills, assembling some small parts with excellent dexterity. Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.Uses hand and power shop tools. Certification of some tools and equipment may be required, such as but not limited to crane and forklift operations.Interact with and display professional conduct with customers and coworkersMeet internal Company standards for quality and workmanship.Use Company computer systems to account for time.Perform 5S activities and maintain equipment in proper working order, and improve work area cleanlinessPerform work in a safe and healthy manner; ensuring deviations to standard work instructions that will lead to quality, productivity, or safety problems are immediately identifiedMay be required to work overtime, weekends, and/or different shifts as necessary to meet business critical requirements.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Cross training will be required to cover business needs.Other duties as assigned.
