Your role:

The SAP SME is responsible for equipment-related concerns as it relates to SAP. This will include, but is not limited to, the creation, printing, and distribution of work orders for equipment at all sites. This also includes reviewing and technically completing work orders to ensure they were completed per the associated operating procedure. The SAP SME also tracks the lifecycle of equipment. This will include entering new equipment into the SAP system, tracking equipment when it is taken out of service for repair, and retiring equipment from the system when appropriate. This role is critical to the continued operation of the whole site by ensuring equipment is tracked on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities:
• Release, print, and distribute work orders on a continuous basis to ensure Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules are accomplished.
• Review and technically complete work orders on a timely basis to not only track progress of the PM system but also to be able to see trends in the system that could lead to better efficiency.
• Make Usage Decisions on calibrated equipment to show that all testing/data recording equipment is within its calibration cycle to ensure compliance.
• Track the lifecycle of equipment which includes entering new equipment and its related maintenance plan into the SAP system. Record when equipment is taken out of service for repair through an Out of Service spreadsheet. When equipment is no longer usable, retire it from the SAP system using proper documentation.
• Support SAP releases affecting the preventative maintenance module and evaluate and assist in implementation.
• Review Operating Procedures (OP) that are in a work flow to update any changes that may be made to the preventative maintenance of that equipment.
• Create reports toward the end of each month to show what work orders have not been completed yet to ensure completion of those work orders to avoid a deviation.
• Create monthly reports that show any work orders past due and distribute to the appropriate department.
• Create Quarterly report to show trends on equipment such as work order completion, demand notifications, number of new equipment in system and number of retired pieces.
• Develop/Summarize report data for KPIs for Preventative and Demand Maintenance.
• Support process improvement efforts and participate in initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline (e.g. biotechnology, biology, engineering, chemistry) or
• Associate's Degree in technical discipline (e.g. biotechnology, biology, engineering, chemistry), but may substitute education for qualified field experience
• 3+ years experience in cGMP environment, or equivalent industry experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent documentation practices

Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of calibration methodology, equipment, and instruments.
• Knowledge of software including: CAD, Minitab, and Microsoft Office
• Experience with use of quality systems and processes in a regulated environment (GLP, cGMP, ISO)
