JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will manage execution of audit coverage across reviews of the Company's capital adequacy process, stress testing, baseline forecasting, U.S. Standardized and Advanced capital requirements, liquidity risk management practices or interest rate measurements systems, or resolution and recovery processes.    Responsibilities include leading a team on audit assignments and performing high quality, risk-focused fieldwork, in accordance with Corporate Audit's methodologies and standards in order to identify meaningful issues, risks, and other exposures in the area of the Company being audited. Creates, maintains, and directs accurate and clear work documents. Completes tasks efficiently (on time and accurately). Learns new businesses, processes, and regulations effectively and quickly. Communicates well with clients and Audit team members. Engages in relevant training regarding audit, businesses, financial controls, regulations, or a particular specialty. Typically works on projects of moderate complexity that would involve significant learning (regulatory regime, business model, processes) on each new assignment. Must be able to quickly assimilate new information in order to analyze and articulate the risks and controls effectively. Relevant knowledge of financial institutions is expected. Should be able to think creatively as well as take direction, identify problems that are not consistent with past audits, and begin to structure a solution or remedy to address issue(s). Need to display flexible and adaptive problem solving skills due to the variety of operational and technological infrastructures within the Company. Appropriately analyze control environment and develop effective audit steps to test controls where necessary in line with the new methodology. The individual works closely with a Senior Audit Manager/Director and other auditors on each project to produce quality work product and lead, coach, and develop associates. Additionally the individual would work closely with clients both in learning the business and setting the strategy for testing controls. This requires both good oral and written communications skills and an ability to be sensitive to the needs of clients and team members. Must be able to keep sensitive information confidential and know how to use appropriately. Must be able to know when to elevate potential audit issues as soon as they are identified to the Senior Audit Manager/Director.   Required Skills Minimum 5-7 years of Audit, Risk, Business Control, Compliance, Finance or other relevant experience Ability to manage audit projects within a risk based audit methodology and provide coaching and training to junior associates within the team Solid understanding of internal audit processes and methodology requirements. Sound organizational, analytical, oral and written communication skills  Self-starter, desire to learn able to teach others, positive attitude, exhibits flexibility Ability to work in a very detailed manner Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
