  • The Reporting and Automation Specialist, in conjunction with the Reporting and Automation Manager, is responsible for supporting IAD and MIS processes and tools, as well as internal and external reporting from IAD.
  • Primary collaborators include senior management, management committees, the Board and Board committees, regulators, governance forums, IAD employees and third parties.
  • While this role is within IAD, it is primarily an operations/reporting role and as such, prior knowledge of audit and/or Governance, Risk and Compliance - though helpful - is not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead efforts related to the operations, technologies, and reporting that support the objectives and requirements of Internal Audit, including:
  • Primary business analyst to partner with IT for workpaper management system (Archer) enhancements, upgrades, and migrations
  • Eliciting and documenting business requirements, providing clarifying guidance to development teams and performing user acceptance testing of developed solutions
  • Building domain expertise in IAD applications (Archer, SharePoint, Microsoft Power BI) to provide end user training and support
  • Escalating system defects to IT, tracking to resolution, and keeping customers advised along the way
  • Developing and implementing strategy for future system upgrades/migration initiatives, along with a comprehensive communication plan to handle end user expectations
  • Lead process improvement initiatives holistically, including project planning, implementation, and status reporting; consistently use the team's project management tool (JIRA) to track project progress
  • Provide end user training and support for IAD applications (Archer, Microsoft Power BI)
  • Provide operational support on business processes and tools to the Audit MIS team and IAD, including implementing process improvements and completing existing processes
  • Lead and implement efforts to ensure high quality data in IAD applications for accurate reporting
  • Support both internal (departmental) and external (Management/Board level committees) reporting processes, compiling reports on a timely basis, and communicating proactively with partners about status and roadblocks
  • Accommodate ad-hoc reporting requests under tight deadlines
  • Design and implement SharePoint site(s), lists and libraries to further optimize IAD processes and knowledge sharing
  • Produce high quality deliverables with special attention to details

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably majoring in Computer Information Systems or an equivalent field
  • 3+ years of operations/reporting or similar experience with a focus on business analysis, communications, data analysis/reporting and business process optimization
  • Proven understanding and experience of working with data (i.e. relating disparate datasets to answer business questions, importance of data quality controls and solid grasp of relational databases)
  • An eye for detail and experience interacting with audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Self-starter who is willing to learn and shift quickly with changing business needs
  • Experience in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and/or Internal Audit/Audit Support is a plus
  • Experience with implementing and supporting GRC systems (e.g. Metric-Stream, Archer) is a strong plus
