Cloud Solution Architect (Microsoft platform)

TECH SKILLS: C#, YAML, TERRAFORM, AZURE, DEVOPS, SQL, GITHUB ENTERPRISE. 
Seeking professionals with Strong Azure DevOps Architect experience, with GitHub focus, Github enterprise key requirement, enterprise level experience, Microsoft stack.

Someone besides experience has wisdom of project understanding, provide guidance to client regarding projects and what needs to be done.

Responsibilities

• Configure development tools and supporting CI / CD infrastructure
• Onboard applications and teams into DevOps tools by creating repos and pipelines
• Consult with application teams on Sempra's CI / CD best practices and requirements
• Provide tier 2 support for app teams troubleshooting for CI / CD pipelines deploying to Cloud or on-prem
• Review configurations for compliance with standards

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are required
• Ability to explain complex concepts in understandable language for technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working with clients across a large organization with complex organization structure
• Deep working knowledge of configuration and administration of DevOps tools, specifically GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of git and branching workflows such as GitFlow, Feature Based, Trunk Based, etc.
• Strong knowledge in scripting including PowerShell, Python, and bash/zsh
• Strong knowledge of remote server administration on Windows and Linux
• Strong knowledge of Cloud runtime environments, including AWS and Azure.
• Experience as a DevOps engineer using enterprise DevOps tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, or Atlassian

• Need a lot of development experience
• Need 1 super-awesome person and 1 senior/mid-range person
• GitHub: will be a lot more than just code repository (will replace Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
• Need someone who's set up GitHub for multiple teams (even if just as a repository since the Enterprise service is so new)
• The sort of things they’re looking for are:
  • Experience with GitHub
  • Team policy development and enforcement, merge, branch, etc. (setting it up)
  • Have they stood this up at an enterprise level? (likely not as its brand new, but interested in their approach theoretically)
• Super-senior Azure DevOps person who has done enterprise-level stand-up might work (AWS a smaller possibility)
• Must be able to architect, build, roll-out, and run
• Experience with cloud transformation (with MSFT technologies) is a very strong plus
