Qualifications:
High School or equivalent preferred not required. Basic reading, math, computer skills. Work on feet for much of shift.& nbsp; QUALIFICATIONS:& nbsp; Good safety record, Good attendance record, Good problem solving skills, Good communication skills, Willingness to learn, Must have an understanding of basic math functions, Must be able to read a tape measure, Capable of training new employees, Average Mechanical Aptitude, Self-Motivated, Availability for overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.& nbsp; Team oriented and able to work well with others, Experience using a computer to operate, tune and set-up machinery, and input production reports.& nbsp; Ability to stand and work at a sustained fast pace for the duration of the shift, Ability to regularly lift and lower rolls of materials up to 55 lbs.& nbsp; Prior experience with extrusion preferred
Responsibilities:
Helpers are responsible for efficiently managing the output end of the machine. This includes removing finished rolls of bubble wrap from the winder, taping the rolls, applying labels, bagging and placing in the finished goods storage area. They also prepare the next roll for production by installing and taping in place cardboard inner cores. Helpers also maintain an adequate supply of cardboard cores, plastic bags and bag ties.
