Position: Advanced inverter Mechanical Engineer Location: Kokomo, IN Hiring Mode: Fulltime with Client Customer is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a Advanced Inverter Mechanical Engineer. The Advanced Inverter Mechanical Engineer will work as part of a team developing next generation traction inverters and be responsible for the mechanical design and packaging. Key responsibilities Concept, design and execute mechanical for traction Inverters Design responsibilities will range from study and conceptual work on advanced thermal and packaging solutions as well as being able to take a complete power electronics electrical concept involving semiconductors, capacitors, magnetics and high voltage and high current interconnections to mechanical product concepts Use analytical CAE tools for thermal, vibration, & fluid flow analysis Translate customer specifications for package concepts Work with the electrical design and manufacturing teams to design the best mechanical solutions to meet or exceed customer requirements What we're looking for BSME or BSMET with a preference for Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Solid ME CAD skills – preferably experience with Siemens Unigraphics NX Experience with FEA tools including Ansys, etc. Strong mechanical hardware design and analytical skills with passion for creating innovative compact and thermally efficient systems] Experience in automotive component reliability, failure analysis and structured problem solving techniques is an asset Experience with die cast design, plastic design, metallic stamping design, and design for manufacturing and assembly is a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills are required Strong interpersonal skills required
