<p>The <strong>Engineering Manager</strong> holds responsibility for directing and managing the activities of the engineering department to design, process, project, and develop, produce, improve, and test components, products, systems, and services. This key role will also serve as a resource on projects requiring advanced knowledge</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provides planning, direction, and coordination for all technical activities while achieving optimum use of employees, equipment, materials, and facilities</li> <li>Continually driving team for efficiencies and improved accuracy</li> <li>Recruiting, hiring, coaching and guiding team members</li> <li>Provides functional guidance and leadership for direction of product mechanical design.</li> <li>Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for defining product, outcomes and process to achieve. Familiar with applicable applications and technical standards, principles and applications</li> <li>Guides successful completion of projects through collaboration with Project and Product Managers</li> <li>Responsible for budget oversight and accomplishment of development within define parameters</li> <li>Provide direction regarding the development of solutions to complex technical problems</li> <li>Interfaces with Quality, Sales and Operations managers on design, development, production, supplier, internal audit and other issue</li> <li>Works closely with Development and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve potential issues during new product launches</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering required</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience in engineering management in a manufacturing or manufacturing service environment</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to apply technical and continuous improvement tools to drive performance improvement in alignment with business and stakeholder needs</li> <li>Demonstrated success in leading design teams with a strong process orientation</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to develop and manage strong team, customer, and internal relationships including a history of developing collaborative relationships</li> <li>Strong oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to compose concise reports and presentations</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><em>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.</em></p>
