Business Analyst Lead
STRONG BA-----WILL BE HYBRID TRANSPORTATION OR GOVT EXP A HUGE PLUS ADA EXP A PLUS AMERICAN DISABILITIES ACT NOT LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH JUST SOFTWARE EXP BA Responsibilities include reviewing design drawings and vendor proposals for station implementations, working with Amtrak's Legal department to determine if station(s) have shared responsibility in ADA improvements, guiding review processes for State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) for PIDS deployments, and drafting and obtaining signoff on functional requirements. The BA will manage all aspects of Amtrak PIDS' testing lifecycle from Design to Deployment. S/he will work as part of a broader project team to successfully deploy PIDS and OBIS solutions in stations and on trains. The BA may be required at times to develop or review Statements of Work (SOW) in support of Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Service (RFS), or Requests for Proposal (RFP). S/he will interface routinely with various Technical SMEs, project team members, outside Suppliers, State Partners, Contractors, IT & business stakeholders, and Amtrak leadership. The role will also need to gain familiarity with sections of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) that relate to PIDS environments. The successful candidate must be organized, self-directed, and very detail oriented. S/he must possess excellent interpersonal skills, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and be capable of juggling competing priorities. This position requires expert-level business analysis experience working as a practitioner and a strong delivery focus. S/he should be well-versed in BABOK standard terminology and guidelines governing business analysis best practices and be familiar with general concepts related to working within a Service-Oriented Organization (e.g., ITIL).
