Element6’s client that is a HVACR industry leader specializing in wholesale distribution in the Midwest, Plains, and Mountain States. Under the direction of the Director of Inventory Management, the individual will support the Inventory Management Department in the procurement of equipment and parts in accordance with established and approved departmental and Company procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
Build effective relationships with supplier’s sales representatives, and sales and product management team.
Place daily replenishment orders for stock as well as special and direct ship orders for customer requirements. Manage order adjustments as necessary to ensure transaction accuracy.
Manage open purchase order reporting to understand expected receipt dates, past due order follow-ups, and expedite orders as needed to prevent stock- outs.
Coordinate with Suppliers and client’s logistics team for purchase order will call pickups
Complete purchase orders regularly to ensure stock is replenished and managed.
Assist with the settlement of supplier claims and disputed invoices, and shipment errors.
Secondary Responsibilities
Lead inventory planning strategy through historical sales activity as well as new sales projections, through collaboration with the field sales team, product managers, and store managers.
Work with sales and product management to implement inventory forecast for events – seasonal buys, inventory promotions, and projects.
Successfully manage inventory through the product life cycle to minimize slow-moving and obsolete material to maintain a healthy inventory balance.

Education/Experience
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
HVAC/R product knowledge preferred, but not required
Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing or a data-driven environment
