Job Description:
As a Sr Oracle PL SQL Developer, you will be involved in Oracle-based development projects, following best practices in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This will include collaborating with business analysts, subject matter experts, and quality assurance staff. You will be responsible for fixing and developing changes to applications, ensuring they meet functional and technical designs and adhere to development standards and guidelines. Additionally, you will support production systems, resolving end-user service requests and analyzing and resolving production problems in a timely manner. You will engage with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements and contribute to completing functional specifications. Preparing technical documentation on application specifications, debugging applications, and integrating new modules and upgrades into the online production database system are also part of this role. You will participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily stand-up meetings, and adhere to coding standards and other standard work as laid out for applications development. Finally, you will respond promptly to customer needs, taking a customer-centric approach to problem-solving, soliciting customer feedback to improve service, and managing customer expectations.
Skills Required:
- PL/SQL Developer: Complex Stored Procedures, Packages, and Triggers
Skills Preferred:
- Unix Shell scripting, some understanding of Java as the team consists of Java and PL/SQL developers
- Experience of using Git, GitHub
- Agile Scrum and Jira
- Data Warehouse experience is a plus
Experience Required:
- 7+ years of experience as a PL/SQL Developer (Oracle 11G/12C), Oracle Forms and Reports (12c), APEX
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience working in a team environment, preferably Agile Scrum.
