CDL CLASS A TRUCK DRIVER

Now Hiring CDL Class A Truck Driver in Austell, GA!

Great news to share! We have implemented a $3000 sign on bonus for all driver openings in the Northeast!

This is how it will be paid:

Your sign-on bonus will be paid as follows: $500 on your first payroll check with the company, $500 made payable after completing your probationary period and $2,000 in March 2021. The sign-on bonus requires your tenure with the company for at least two years. In the event your tenure does not meet the two year requirement, you will be responsible to pay back the prorated amount to the company on your last day of employment.



As a CDL Class A Truck Driver on our team, you'll work for a worldwide industry-leading distribution company serving the residential and commercial construction industry.



What's it Pay?

  • $3,000 Sign On Bonus (For Atlanta, Northeast and Midwest Only)
  • $1,500 Referral Bonus
  • $22/hr minimum
  • Maximum rate - negotiable

Work days/Hours:

  • Local run starts at 4 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday
  • 2-day runs 6 AM - 5 PM, Sunday to Friday
  • Home on the weekends
  • 2 Day Runs: Hotel Accommodations paid by Client and $25 per diem per day


Your role:

  • Responsible for delivering granite, marble and quartz slabs.
  • Must be comfortable with making local deliveries with multiple stops.
  • Must know how to maintain a legal and accurate log book.
  • Able to read Bill of Lading/Picking Sheets
  • Able to position blocks and ties, straps/chains and binders for cargo securement
  • This is an over-the-road position that requires up to 65% of travel depending on the business need
  • Overnight runs may go after as south (Florida), north (Tennessee) and west (Mississippi)
  • You will be handling some 5-axle straight trucks others are tractor trailers that are 40-ft in length (Automatic)
  • Customer will be responsible of unloading the slabs, your job is to unstrap and the restrap the material

Here's the Skinny - Our Ideal Candidate

  • Must possess a Valid Class A or B CDL.
  • 2 day runs 70% of the time, and will be home every weekend.
  • 1 year of verifiable driving experience with heavy duty vehicles.
  • Must be safety minded in all aspects of this job.
  • Must be comfortable with making local deliveries with multiple stops.
  • Must know how to maintain a legal and accurate log book.
  • Able to read Bill of Lading/Picking sheets.
  • Able to assist in loading, unloading, and securing of cargo
  • Generate 137lbs of vertical push/pull force
  • Able to lift and transfer 65lbs
  • Able to carry at least 30lbs the length of the truck bed
  • Able to ascend and descend multiple-rung ladder
  • Able to frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch
  • Able to work at elevated height of 72" above the ground while assembling and disassembling strap, ties, ratchets, nuts, bolts, and other securing or fastening equipment
  • Able to work at lowered height of 6" above the ground while assembling and disassembling strap, ties, ratchets, nuts, bolts, and other securing or fastening equipment
  • Able to position blocks and ties, straps/chains and binders for cargo securement.
  • Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness, and safe manner.
  • Must be able to pass a skilled test (driving test) and all DOT pre-employment requirements
  • Bilingual a plus, but not necessary
  • Ability to work alone and concentrate
  • Patience and a polite attitude towards other road users
  • Good spoken and written communication skills
  • Experience Comfort using iPads as an essential tool
  • Adaptable and dependable, with a customer-centric mindset
  • Focused on making dream surfaces attainable
