JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:
• 1+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred • 6+ months' experience operating CNC Mill machines • Ability to speak and understand the English language • Intermediate computer and math skills to be able to measure parts and learn to program/program the CNC machinery and robot • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Ability to work in above ambient temperatures • Maintain high attendance standards • Ability to strictly adhere to written and verbal instructions • Complete all paperwork correctly, legibly and honestly • Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles. • Contribute towards continuous improvement processes and projects in the areas of output, quality, cost and delivery. • Ability escalate problems as they arise within the department. • Make quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines, with minimal scrap, in a fast paced work environment. • Adhere to Saint-Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in identifying quality parts • Ability to work on CNC machines with the ability to set-up and run from start to first piece approval with little assistance required • Proficient in measuring using calipers, micrometers, height stands, CMM, etc. • Demonstrate basic understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T • Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor or Cell Lead SAFETY • Use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health, safety and environmental regulations, as required. • Conduct safety observations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities as required by our plant EHS. • Follow all safety requirements pertaining to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and operation of equipment. • Handle raw material in an environmentally responsible manner. • Report all incidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor or EHS. (We are a steel toe facility)
