JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director is responsible for the oversight and management of programs and initiatives relating to Patient Safety, Quality Improvement, Infection Control, and Utilization Review.
Qualified candidates must be a licensed RN in the State of Colorado and have at minimum a BSN or degree in business or other related field.
Experience/Skills: Minimum five years experience in management and/or patient safety, quality improvement, and Risk Management initiatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of PS applications including PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Word and Core Measures software.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, CMS standards or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
