CATERING ASSOCIATE:
This is a Full-Time position: 3 days a week 6 am- 7 pm.
The salary is $13.42 to $20.09 per hour, based on experience.
This is a patient care position.
Responsible for patient food service on assigned units.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Getting menus and taking menu selections prior to each meal
- Taking note and being accommodating of patient preferences/specials requests/needs
- Always complying with dietary restrictions on special/modified diets to ensure
food preferences are met within guidelines of diet
- Always offering alternative options to the menu, as allowed, to accommodate food
allergies and cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences
- Assembling trays according to patient menus on tray tickets in a timely and accurate
manner
- Delivering and picking up trays
- Completing catering rounds after delivering trays to inquire if the patient needs
anything else
- Picking up trays after completing catering rounds
- Preparing supplements
- Delivering in-between meal food and snacks
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Six months of customer service experience
Preferred:
- Two-year college degree
- One year in a hospital environment, knowledge of patient diets
No required or preferred licensure or certificate registration.
