This is a hybrid role between Network Administration and Network Engineering. The right candidate will have a mix of both skillset abilities.
Must Haves:
Cisco switches
Juniper switches
Aruba switches
2+ years of experience in Cisco network hardware like Cisco catalyst 2911, 2960, 3650 with an overall experience of at least 5 years
Program routers, switches, and other network hardware
Ability to read and understand Wireshark TCP/IP packet captures.
Experience implementing layer 2/3 connectivity - experience in setting up access lists, prefix lists, and route-maps. Layer 2 includes implementation and troubleshooting protocols such as spanning-tree, port security, HSRP, LACP, LAG, etc. Layer 3 includes the implementation and troubleshooting of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routing.
Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is a must
Huge plus:
Working knowledge of 128t routing
