The employee will work under close supervision with simple oral and written instructions to do pre-plate and post-plate clean-up. Work involves placing a proper number of parts in baskets or on racks and following a</p> <p>sequence of steps for immersing the product in chemical baths. Other work functions include processing products through the cleaning and rinsing tanks as well as the dryer.</p> <p>The employee will be required to exercise extreme care during daily functions to avoid damage to shells or electrodes. The employee will be required to perform other tasks and duties as may be assigned by the Department Supervisor.</p> <p> </p> <p>These duties include:</p> <p> </p> <p>Material Handling of (incoming) bulk chemicals in 55-gallon drums or other similar containers.</p> <p>Hazardous waste handling.</p> <p> </p> <p>Tank additions: Following written instructions from the department supervisor (or others) to make required chemical additions to process solutions.</p> <p> </p> <p>Tank Maintenance:</p> <p>Following written instructions from the department supervisor (or others) to dump and make up</p> <p>new process solutions.</p> <p> </p> <p>General housekeeping in the department.</p> <p> </p> <p>All employees must be flexible with job scheduling to meet the overall needs of the company and the Plating Department. A close working relationship must be maintained with Wirers, Unwirers,</p> <p>Chemical Production Associate, and Plating Supervisor. A slight working knowledge of bright dipping and electroplating (Cu & NI) would be helpful but is not necessary. Good attendance required for this position.</p> <p> </p> <p>SAFETY</p> <p>All employees must maintain a clean, uncluttered and safe work environment by observing and practicing high standards of health and safety.
