Job Description:

  • Lead Data Manager position works closely with internal Data Management (DM) staff and Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to review data from our clinical trials.
  • The Lead Data Manager role ensures completion of study data deliverables, and proactively identifies and resolves clinical data/database issues and communicates findings to the internal DM staff.
  • The role is task specific and other activities may be requested as needed.

Skills:

  • Manages data management projects and tasks as assigned by the in-house Data Manager
  • Review data from automated reports and line listings to identify data issues and reports the findings per procedure
  • Follow ups with activities to ensure proper resolution
  • Reports status to in-house Data Manager
  • Interactions with CRO personnel on assigned activities and deliverables
  • Reviews full study subjects for completeness and data accuracy
  • Provides metrics for the over health of the study-to-study team members
  • Ensures delivery of a quality locked database for analysis.

Physical Requirements:

  • Subject to extended periods of sitting and standing, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels.
  • Work is generally performed in an office or clinical environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience in math, science or health-related field
  • Minimum of 3-8 years of clinical trial data management experience in a Pharmaceutical/Biotech environment with relevant therapeutic experience
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial process and EDC platforms
  • Experience with data programming tools and/or data viewing tools (J-Review, SAS etc)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with problem solving
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred:

  • Global trial experience.
  • Smaller bio-oncology company experience
  • Immuno-therapy experience a plus
