Title: Cloud Architect Position Type: Contract Location: New York, NY, United States Requirements: Extensive experience with one or more cloud infrastructure providers (I.E. AWS, GCP, Azure) and the ability to build solutions based on these capabilities Extensive project experience migrating from legacy systems and deploying complex cloud-based solutions Previous ownership of the technical solution architecture Project experience architecting, implementing, and optimizing core infrastructure, networking, and cloud-based services for business teams or consumers Experience in Cloud Native platforms including the design and automation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities including virtual networks, virtual machines, cloud services, container services, data center OS services, websites, data services, etc. Experience Developing Cloud Fitment Models, Cloud Business Case, Cloud Architecture and Design, Cloud Security, Cloud Infrastructure, network & storage Design. Experience reviewing and implementing DevOps and Agile standards and practices Experience configuring and tuning cloud-hosted solutions and platforms Experience with Microservices, Functions, Event-driven/reactive programming, or other Cloud Native architectures Solid experience in any of the orchestration tools (Jenkins, chef, puppet, terraform ansible, or AWS SSM preferred) Ability to navigate complex organization politics, build trust and credibility with clients Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical topics to senior stakeholders within the client 10+ years of overall technology experience. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field. Certified AWS / Azure Solutions Architect Professional. Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture practices and application of them. Strong knowledge of a broad range of application architecture approaches. Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies and tooling. Experience in deploying Infrastructure as Code. Highly desired: Experience in Cloud Solution Architecture.
