Title: Cloud Engineer
Duration: 6 months
Location: Hartford, CT (Remote till Covid)
Job Duties
Participate in design process to finalize target platform architecture that can deliver a coherent, reliable architecture aligning to strategic vision to help business grow and change.
Able to define transition architecture journey as required.
Lead proof-of-concept phase with adoption of newer technologies i.e R studio -container platforms for supporting development of pricing and analytical models.
Drives technical design and integration requirements with various systems to support processes that require data exchange.
Evolve and enforce existing security standards throughout the pricing and analytics platform along with a framework and governance policies as required
Introduce DevOps approach for a range of Agile projects, facilitating automated build, deployment, monitoring, testing and reporting pipelines and solutions
Support analysis and resolution of defects during integration and platform testing phase.
Proactively identify and communicate improvement opportunities.
Skills Required
Proven development skills in one or more programming technologies with additional skills in domain specific tools (e.g. R, SAS, Python)
Experience with Cloud Products/Technologies like Containers, AKS, OpenShift etc.
Knowledge around Linux operating systems.
Good understanding of Platform and Application Architecture
Prefer proficiency with multiple application delivery models including Agile, iterative and waterfall
Some prior work experience in an insurance or technology field
Adaptable to new/different strategies, programs, technologies, practices, cultures, etc. Comfortable with change, able to easily make transitions.
