The content specialist codes and/or authors content for web and email tactics using HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL, and the content management system. The content specialist partners with visual designers, copywriters, and other key stakeholders to produce landing pages and emails compatible with corporate branding and accessibility standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates closely with content strategists, visual designers, copywriters, and technical teams on multiple, concurrent projects to
- Inform and integrate high-quality output of strategy, design, and copy to author and/or code web-based layouts compatible with corporate and accessibility standards, pattern libraries, and best practices
- Identify ideas for enhancements and problem-solving efficiencies within website experience and internal efficiencies
- Produce front-end code for landing pages and possible emails
- Creates, edits, manages, and publishes content using various content management systems (CMS) to
- Code HTML, CSS, Javascript, and SQL; utilizes Client CQ or Experience Manager and Unica Interact template logic, and other code required to present managed and dynamic content in a browser; tests and debugs code
- Add, edit, and publish digital assets in the CMS, such as text, photos, videos, social media feeds, metadata, tags, sidebar content, forms, and other assets
- Prototypes web experiences through
- Building CMS-driven prototypes from wireframe designs working to test component functionality
- Creates, edits, and publishes vanity URLs for several domains by
- Creating, editing, and publishing vanity URLs from Akamai tool
- Requesting vanity URLs via JIRA for domains not integrated into Akamai tool
- Acts as a technical subject matter expert resource who
- Assists with the training of internal users on website components and templates
- Identifies and troubleshoots project and technology issues/roadblocks
- Pilots new workflows

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar with 2-3 years of experience in coding
- Knowledge of HTML and content management systems; experience with Client CQ or Client Experience Manager a plus
- Experience creating and working with wireframes helpful
- Knowledge of accessibility and SEO standards helpful
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and Client Creative Suite
- Working knowledge of graphic design, UX, or information architecture
- Solid organizational and communication skills with a problem-solving and detail-oriented approach; experience with scientific content a plus
- Candidate must have a demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively under pressure and balance speed and quality
- Responds well and stays positive to constructive feedback and creative change requests
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar with 2-3 years of experience in coding
- Knowledge of HTML and content management systems
