Contract Position - Trainee Maintenance Technician - Lab Equipment in Oak Creek, WI Apply
Duration: 12 months
Candidate will train on 1st or 2nd shift then move to 3rd shift (typically 10-6a or 11-7a)
Description:
Will interact with APA technical and QS technicians, as a member of the APA Application Team, acting as an extension of their team responsible for the application phase of coatings. Interaction with automated system and computers controls are desired.
Expected to have reasonable knowledge or previous experience in the use of hand tools and power tools. The selected candidate will receive full training in all areas.
Will interact on a daily basis within a Paint Sprayroom using Bell or Gun Electrostatic Paint Application Equipment & Automation tools, as well as Robotics.
Must be able to read and execute the appropriate SOP's.
Will troubleshoot, repair and rebuild equipment on a daily basis, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment as necessary.
Must develop and maintain a foundation of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic knowledge with Paint Applications Equipment. Must be able to mount, setup and test Paint Applicators in preparation for paint test trails.
Connecting respective air, fluid, static voltage, fiber optic cables, etc.
Must be able to logically collect data with measurement devices and enter in electronic spreadsheets.
Must have experience with nominal computer software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and E-mail.
Must have experience with hand tools and power tools
Some understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics would be helpful
A background using or fixing paint equipment would be a plus
Must be Safety conscious
Work Environment: APA Spray Rooms and Lab
Equipment Utilized: Application Equipment, Test Equipment, and Robotics.
Work Direction of Others: Supervised, not directing others.
