Contract Position - Media Technician in Gainesville, GA Apply
This is a Media Technician contract position at our Client site in Gainesville, GA.
Duration: 8 months
Pay: $15/hr
Schedule: Monday 5 am to 3:30 pm Tuesday 5 am to 2:20 pm Wednesday 5 am to 1:30 pm Thursday 5 am to 1:30 pm Friday 5 am to 10:00 am End times will usually run longer to finish processes
Duties: The main purpose of this position is to assist in all tasks associated with the production of Marek's poultry vaccines and master these tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Employee must train on all aspects of media production.
- Utilizes sterile technique at all times. Work under laminar flow hoods and HEPA filtered environment.
- Communicate any occurrence to mentor /team leader and/or supervisor immediately. Responsible for keeping the lab area clean and sterile at all times.
- Individual must insure these activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Works cooperatively with mentor in training.
- Training is vital to performance and should be considered a priority.
- Maintains accurate and timely manufacturing records, this includes all paperwork and files.
- Actively promotes safety and awareness in the lab, always acting in occurrence with safety practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- **May not own or have contact with other birds or poultry.**
Skills:
- Self-motivated. Ability to think ahead to next task.
- Ability to work well under time constraints.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry it a distance of 10 ft., as well as push / pull. Must be able to squat, bend, and stoop, as well as twisting and turning.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity are important.
- Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time and work in a sterile production environment.
- Must be flexible with availability (able to work overtime as needed on short notice).
- This position requires weekend work.
- Regular attendance is a must.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Production and/or lab experience preferred .
