Job Title: Accountant IV

Work Location: Remote

Start/End Dates: 6 Months (11/2/2020 - 5/1/2021)

Pay Rate: Depending on experience

Job Description:

100% remote position. Candidate can be located outside of CA, however PST time zone is strongly preferred.

Must have requirements: BA degree in Accounting major. Experience in Corporate Accounting. Must an independent worker and demonstrate time management. CPA & Healthcare experience are plus.

Work Hours: 8am - 5pm PST, but could be flexible if needed.

Please note that Company has 1 week each month for month-end close that will require working more than normal shift. It's about 2 hrs OT per day during this week, or 8-10 hrs OT per week.

Experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience in related field
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of networked computerized multi-company accounting systems
  • Summary:

    The Corporate Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day and month-end accounting processes for the Corporate team to which he/she is assigned, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

    Essential Functions:

    • Preparation and entry of journal entries, including GAAP and statutory reporting entries
    • Calculation of accruals/estimates Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper coding of cash receipts/transfers.
    • Account reconciliation to identify errors in posting or coding
    • Performs monthly P&L analysis with explanation for variances to budget and/or prior periods.
    • Account analysis including proposing required journal entries as needed.
    • Supports annual audit process by preparing schedules requested by auditors Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
    • Ability to work independently and multi-task, with a strong attention to detail
    • Flexibility to work additional hours on an as-needed basis to meet deadlines
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to abide by Company policies
    • Maintain regular attendance based on agreed-upon schedule
    • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
    • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Required
