Looking for Data architect (Enterprise Datawarehouse)
Location: Washington D.C (Hybrid 2days/week in office)
Contract type: C2C/W2/1099
Minimum 12+ years overall IT experience and 8+year as Data Architect.
Responsibilities-
- Design and implementation of data warehousing solutions: Responsible for designing and implementing efficient data warehousing solutions that support the data marts. This would include designing the data model, selecting the right tools and technologies, and setting up the necessary infrastructure.
- Data Integration: Responsible for integrating data from various Transactional and finance systems into the data warehouse. This would involve mapping and transforming the data, as well as ensuring the data quality and accuracy.
- Data governance: work closely with the data governance team to ensure that the operational and finance data marts comply with the enterprise data governance policies and standards. This would include managing data lineage, data definitions, and ensuring data security.
- Performance optimization: Responsible for ensuring that the data marts are performing optimally. This would involve monitoring performance, tuning the data warehouse and the underlying database systems, and working with the database administration team to resolve any performance issues.
- Data modeling: Responsible for designing the data model for operational and finance data marts. This would involve identifying the entities and relationships within the functional domain, defining the data structures, and ensuring that the data model is aligned with the overall data architecture. creating conceptual, logical and physical data models.
- Integrates new systems with existing warehouse structure and refines system performance and functionality; develops strategies for enterprise data management and data governance.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
- Write clear, detailed, concise documentation - architecture diagrams, reference architecture, data flows, data models(Conceptual, logical and physical), design, and implementation plan.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience developing complex data integrations. Three (3) or more years of experience with integrations. Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience designing complex data architectures for analytics and reporting.
- 8+ years of experience with data model and date warehouse design, including schema design and entity relationship diagrams
- Advanced analytical and design skills, including the ability to abstract information requirements from real-world processes to understand information flows in computer systems.
- Critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with highly complex data quality and governance issues and requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of data management systems, practices and standards.
- Familiarity with Systems Development Life Cycle and data quality assurance.
- Experience applying modern data management frameworks and methods.
- Experience in data integration and the specification of data services.
- Familiarity with highly complex logical data design and data mapping or data conversion.
- In depth experience with SQL and PL/SQL programming in relational and/or non-relational database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, AWS Redshift , HP Vertica and MySQL.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience with large-scale data migration
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience designing data platforms for user consumption
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience supporting the development of related data artifacts
