Organizational Overview:

Our client Enterprise Risk & Finance Technology (ERFT) is responsible for end-to-end technology solutions and support for the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Financial Officer organizations. 

 

Role Overview:

This role requires an experienced and highly skilled professional to play an active role within the Treasury Data Services area working with the Lines of Business, Finance, Treasury, Risk and other Technology teams within the bank. As a Delivery Manager, the candidate will lead the definition of end-to-end strategic roadmaps for applications and components with Treasury Data Services and manage progress based on consistent Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes leveraging Agile and SAFE methodologies. 

 

They will also drive project risks, and issues to resolution to minimize project impact. In addition, they will partner with Finance, Business Management (BSM) and the Line of Business to manage the project financials and help drive the overall portfolio towards the strategic roadmap.

 

This role will be required to work closely with the project developers and architects across multiple projects/work-streams at the same time. This role requires:

  • Strong problem solving mindset with a foundation of application development and program/technical simplification
  • Proficiency to talk in financial and functional terms to clients and the stakeholders
  • Leadership skills to manage ad-hoc analysis or technical design deep dives
  • Understanding of the development lifecycle (Agile & SAFE practices) to ensure the operating model is practical, adopted by the delivery teams

    Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of businesses
    • Actively participate in the technical architecture and design
    • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
    • Review and challenge estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
    • Act as an internal quality control check for projects ensuring that milestones are implemented with a strategic mindset
    • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
    • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
    • Proven success in providing on site leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Responsible for roadmaps and initiative planning
    • Partner with system architects across the organization to understand the broader strategic objectives ensuring that solutions are progressing strategically while meeting business objectives
    • Work with business and technology teams to help prioritize business cases across both business and technology needs
    • Partner with LOB Change function to perform executive communications on roadmaps and initiative planning
    • Promote and ensure close partnership across business and technology teams
  • Qualifications:
    • Significant experience with SDLC methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SAFE
    • Strong communications skill set – written and verbal
    • Strong financials skill set – written and verbal
    • Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff
    • Experience drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary
    • Able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
    • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
    • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering
  • Prior experience as an application developer
  • 7+ Years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects
  • Technically competent with various software programs including MS Office, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
