Digital Analytics & Conversion Rate Optimization Engineer

The Digital Operations team for Patheon by Client Scientific is seeking a passionate, talented and driven Digital Analytics & Conversion Rate Optimization Engineer to own our website analytics implementation, continually evolving and extending it to align with website and business needs, and to establish our website conversion optimization program.

How Will You Make an Impact?

This role is vital to delivering a relevant and engaging digital experience that ultimately lifts conversion. The successful candidate will have a strong background in web analytics and user experience best practices with hands-on technical skills to deliver analytics implementations that are accurate and scalable, and conversion optimization tests that result in improved digital experience and performance.

What Will You Do?

  • Maintain and evolve our web analytics and tag manager implementations to align with the evolution of our website and business demands.
  • Use analytics to proactively identify areas to improve our web performance, formulate UX hypothesis on how to improve them, implement tests to prove them out, and determine next steps to iteratively improve upon the results.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand web analysis needs and make necessary adjustments to our web implementation and/or reporting to fulfill them in a way that is scalable, accurate and adheres to industry best practices.
  • Own web analytics and tag manager implementation documentation.

How Will You Get Here?

  • BS/BA degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing digital analytics and tag manager platforms, utilizing a data layer and third-party integrations, specifically Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Client Analytics, Client Launch and Client Target experience is a plus.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with conversion optimization platforms (Google Optimize, Client Target, Optimizely, etc.), setting up targeted content and optimization tests, analyzing results and determining next iteration steps.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing data visualization tools, such as Data Studio or Microsoft Power BI, to deliver insightful performance and trend reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the B2B digital journey to be able to empathize with our clients and prospects to improve the digital experience and conversion.
  • HTML, CSS and JavaScript coding skills as they relate to website analytics and conversion optimization implementation.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to present and disseminate performance analysis to individuals and groups, including senior management.
  • Excellent attention to detail; strong ethics, integrity and maturity.
  • Creative and resourceful with entrepreneurial spirit and hustle to pursue challenges to resolution.
