Director of Quality Control Apply
<p><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Director of Quality Control for Helfrich Brother's Power Fabrication and Pressure Vessel Divisions.</li> <li>Director of Quality Control will ensure that Helfrich Brother's maintains the highest standard of quality that is in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and code requirements.</li> <li>Director of Quality Control will be expected to be in the office five days per week and report directly to the CEO for all items relating to quality control.</li> </ul> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of quality goals and long-term quality plans.</li> <li>Responsible for leading the successful implementation of ISO 9001:2015.</li> <li>Manage Quality Control Department and lead its growth through hiring and training.</li> <li>Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and improvement recommendations, as well as interdepartmental collaboration, and digital organization.</li> <li>Maintain ASME Certification by ensuring code compliance and prepare and conduct training on ASME code requirements and additional foreign codes such as PED, Malaysia DOSH and MHLW (Japan).</li> <li>Generate Inspection Test Plans, Quality Procedures, and Quality Instructions.</li> <li>Maintain Job Books for all jobs, and Complete Job Packages and Code Documentation and upload to Helfrich Brother's CRM.</li> <li>Coordination of the Authorized Inspector/Repair Inspector and apply code stamping or marking to code parts under the direction of the Authorized Inspector/Repair Inspector.</li> <li>Lead quarterly meetings with senior management to review quality KPIs.</li> <li>Work with project managers in the development and adherence to quality objectives.</li> <li>Responsible for leading customer and third-party audits.</li> <li>Provide the appropriate management processes to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and certifications, conforms to company standards, and utilizes best-industry practices to manage safety risks to people, property, and the environment.</li> <li>Conducts strategic and quality risk workshops and assessments throughout the organization.</li> <li>Responsible for documenting customer feedback and a corrective action system.</li> <li>Improve and re-establish Helfrich Brother's Non-Conformance System and documents methods of improvement.</li> <li><strong>Team Management:</strong> <ul> <li>Lead, develop, and mentor team members.</li> <li>Responsible for leading Quality Control Managers and their direct reports.</li> <li>Guide larger, cross-divisional teams outside of direct span of control, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution and performance evaluation.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or associate degree preferred.</li> <li>10+ years of experience in Quality Control.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and take initiative.</li> <li>Strong verbal and communication skills.</li> <li>Excellent time management and multitasking skills.</li> <li>Highly organized and comfortable maintaining documents digitally.</li> </ul> <p><strong>ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <p><strong>Internal / External Contacts:</strong></p> <p><strong>Internal</strong></p> <p style="margin-left: 20px;">1.
