<p><strong>JOB TITLE:</strong> Electrical Engineer<br /> <strong>WORK LOCATION: </strong>Austin TX, Hillsboro OR, Santa Clara CA, Chandler AZ, or Rio Rancho NM<br /> <strong>TYPE OF WORK/DURATION: </strong>Contract to Hire<br /> <strong>PAY RATE: </strong>DOE</p> <p> </p> <p>The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Assignments are selected to develop professional work knowledge and abilities using prescribed methods and standard techniques.</li> <li>Applies academic knowledge and training attained in the use of various building materials and building systems.</li> <li>Performs a variety of routine engineering tasks requiring basic application of engineering fundamentals with increasing responsibility based on performance.</li> <li>Works under close supervision; receives specific and detailed instructions as to required tasks and results expected with limited opportunity to exercise judgment.</li> <li>Drafts interpretation of own design into completed working drawings.</li> <li>May be assisted by a designer, but usually assumes no responsibility for direction of others.</li> <li>Generally works under the direction of a supervisor.</li> <li>Performs design work on CADD.</li> <li>Develops basic knowledge of the discipline's codes.</li> <li>Travel required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor Degree from ABET-accredited school in Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice, is required.</li> <li>EIT preferred, with little or no practical working experience.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD (or CAD Viewer), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and can utilize a PDF markup and collaboration tool such as Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam.</li> <li>Experience reading and understanding electrical system one-line diagrams, equipment location drawings, construction drawings, and equipment submittals.</li> <li>Can perform physical field verification work in a factory Subfab and Utility Level environments.</li> <li>Working knowledge of the National Electrical code (NEC) as it relates to tool pre-assignment activities (e.g. circuit sizing, system capacity, equipment/component ratings, etc.)</li> <li>Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.</li> </ul>
