Description:
Work will be hybrid - onsite at least 3 days/week.
What you will bring:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics or related Engineering and 5+ years of experience
· Experience in electromechanical hardware and software development in a highly regulated industry.
· Knowledge and experience in design of embedded microcontroller-based electronics products.
· Experience testing of electronics components/devices to meet Safety regulatory requirements e.g. Immunity, emission, partial discharge etc.
· Knowledge and experience using CAD systems for printed circuit board schematic design and layout
· Good knowledge of standards such as IEC 60601, IEC 61010, UL, ANSI, AIM and ASTM preferred.
· Specific experience in design and development of medical systems is highly desirable.
Preferred experience, not required:
· Experience designing digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuits preferred.
· Board-level debug and diagnosis using oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, and other bench test equipment.
· Experience in Board level design verification.
· Experience in digital and analog circuit modeling.
· Design for manufacturing/manufacturability experience.
· Experience with documenting designs and analysis including hardware requirements, hardware detailed design, DFMEA, Risk Analysis, and testing requirements.
• Be the technical lead in product development activities. Develop solutions to routine technical problems associated with product design Coordinate with suppliers and external resources needed in developing and implementing new products. Function within a team environment and provide clear feedback to supervisor and department. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Utilize engineering tools to solve straightforward problems (e.g., Design of Experiments, SPC, etc).
• Study and recommend techniques to improve existing products.
• Work on product development teams and with customers to create product designs that are customer driven.
• Help determine verification testing and other product tests to assure product design.
· Working understanding of good practice in the area of design controls, including FDA-21 CFR 820.30 and sub clause 4.4 of ISO 9001.
· Experience with the development and verification of electronic medical equipment with embedded firmware preferred
· Display a solid technical understanding of engineering principles and procedures.
· Effectively operate in and may facilitate cross-functional teams with guidance.
· Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding business objectives and cost implications. Strong communication skills
· Ability to work well as a member of cross-functional teams.
· Experience with Medical Device design controls preferred.

Periodic lifting of up to 35 pounds. Time will be divided between desk-work in a standard office environment and standing/moving about especially in production, laboratory, and warehouse areas. A variety of chemicals are used in production and laboratory areas routinely.
