WHAT YOU'LL DO
Here's the technical stuff but it's worth a read as this will be your daily to-do list.
  • Ensure that installations are done per direction of your Foreman
  • Able to run and manage smaller scale jobs with a small crew as a junior foreman
  • Help to ensure your team has checked all jobsite deliveries for accuracy and damages
  • Be a training supervisor and mentor for helpers, apprentices, and Mechanics assigned to him
  • Perform material takeoffs as requested; confirm materials ready for release and schedule equipment/ tools for mobilization
  • Daily communication with foreman on schedules and planning
  • Extensive knowledge of the electrical trade is a must, this includes extensive knowledge of all trade specific tools and materials
  • Able to read and interpret all job specific documentation including coordination drawings with no supervision; complete all required paperwork on jobsite and submit to the proper individuals; start to learn job cost structure
  • Has completed and keeps current any trade related certifications applicable to job and is working on advanced certifications

  • Provide a safe jobsite for you and your crew to work. This includes but is not limited to:
-Conduct daily and weekly jobsite safety meetings with your team
-Make sure you have the right tool available for the job in advance
-Make sure first aid kit is available and equipped regularly
-Keep jobsite clean of debris
-Report all injuries or accidents to your Foreman immediately
  • Must be willing to travel; expected to drive from home to jobsite or meeting location. Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Work in cramped, awkward and/or confined spaces while kneeling, bending, crouching, or stooping for prolonged periods of time. Repetitive overhead tasks
  • Able to lift as much as 85 pounds
  • Work outdoors, exposed to weather; exposure to loud sounds and high noise levels
  • Usage of hands to handle or control tools or equipment

  • Beautiful Roanoke, Virginia
  • Day Shift 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
  • Monday thru Friday
