Description
The Product Development Test Engineer is a product quality advocate responsible for adherence of quality practices: • Develops, reviews, and validates high quality manual and automated test cases and scripts in accordance with applicable quality standards. • Supports and develops automated test platforms and generates reports according to quality procedures. • Reports in a matrix team that consults to scaled agile teams to support non feature based testing. • Reviews improvements to reduce non-conformance to requirements and potential quality issues. • Maintains independence of product testing with the SCRUM team.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or similar technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of product development/testing experience including automated testing in a regulated environment, medical/bio preferred.
• Experience and understanding of tools validation.
• Strong independent worker with little or no guidance a must.
• Ability to overcome obstacles and provide solutions to complex problems.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong aptitude to identify efficiency improvements and identify areas for automation.
• Working knowledge of test management tools and frameworks (ALM, DOORS).
• Experience using test instrumentation and equipment in and out of a Lab environment.
• Familiarity with application lifecycle management tools such as HP ALM, GitLab or Atlassian Jira.
• Strong ability to multi task due to responsibility to multiple projects/tasks at one time.
• Strong ability to interpret requirements into testing methods.
• Familiarity with Patient interface products and testing methods.
• Ability to communicate directly at multiple levels of management and teams.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
