<div>Description:</div> <div>Onsite position (M-F):<br /> MAX PAY RATE: $33.57<br /> <br /> The Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplinary Innovation team supporting a variety of medical technologies and solutions with an initial focus on new drug delivery systems. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Innovation, this is a technical position where the engineer will contribute significantly to exciting, high visibility projects and collaborations across the R&D portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing key project deliverables, which includes generating creative solutions to complex technical problems. An aptitude for technological program management and communication to both internal and external stakeholders is required. A professional background in biotechnology and/or medical device design is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of engineering design, computational modelling, analytical techniques, biology, and human physiology to solve multidisciplinary biomedical problems.<br /> <br /> The Engineer must be able to effectively collaborate with team members from varying backgrounds and should have strong oral and written communication skills. The successful candidate will have an interest in technically contributing to areas beyond medical devices and drug delivery systems over time due to the dynamic nature of the Innovation team and its programs.<br /> <br /> Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)<br /> Design and conduct appropriate experiments (benchtop and in vivo) to characterize the performance of medical technologies, which may include protocol and novel method development.<br /> Provide technical direction to advance medical device design including ideation, prototype development, and bench/in vivo evaluations.<br /> Conduct data and statistical analysis efforts of experimental results to generate conclusions to drive project directions.<br /> Communicate results effectively (oral and written) to key stakeholders of varying technical abilities.<br /> Understand customer needs through literature review, technology assessments, and ethnographic research.<br /> Collaborate with cross-functional team members to develop technology solutions that address prioritized unmet needs.<br /> <br /> Education and Experience:<br /> Degree in engineering (biomedical, mechanical, etc.) or science discipline (chemistry, biology, etc.).
