Responsibilities: Brings deep and specific expertise related to financial products and risk management, including ability to challenge financial model assumptions and methodologies and identify meaningful issues based on independent audit assessment Build ongoing relationships with the business units outside the context of IAD's routine audits Oversee the execution of audit coverage of quantitative risks and related controls and produce high quality audit work products by independent assessment of audit areas' risks and controls Lead individual audits or reviews as needed, but also have a focused role on the design of controls across a larger number of projects involving deep quantitative/model risk knowledge Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork, including coaches and develops team/department staffs Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of previous financial products or risk management (market, quantitative/model risks) experience is typical for this role. A graduate degree in a mathematical science, statistics, or in engineering. Beneficial, but not required, are certifications related to the incumbent's coverage responsibilities, such as Financial Risk Manager (FRM), etc. Additional Qualifications: Previous internal or external audit experience is helpful, but not required. The incumbent for this position should have a background in Financial Products or Quantitative Risk Management, particularly in market, quantitative/model risk experience, including the assessment of VaR modeling methodologies and assumptions.
