JOB DESCRIPTION:

Facility Support Coordinator
Responsible for creating and maintaining databases for both machine and building maintenance departments to include all manufacturing machinery, electrical distribution, HVAC and general maintenance throughout the facility. Plans preventive maintenance schedules for all manufacturing equipment, electrical panels, buss ducts and switches, transfer switches, generators, filtering systems and light fixtures in all buildings. Organizes all documentation of demand work orders for both departments. Coordinates, schedules and trains users on maintenance databases. Tracks and documents the installation, electrical requirements, maintenance repair and relocation of all manufacturing machinery, laboratory equipment, materials handling and support equipment. Creates custom reports on machinery and general maintenance repairs on the facility to all levels of management. Coordinates special assignments as directed by departmental manager and director. Schedules outside vendor services as needed. Objectives include: Support expansion, reducing machine downtime, providing preventive maintenance on all manufacturing and facilities equipment, tracking demand maintenance, and reporting performance of the two maintenance departments.

Responsibilities:

• System Administrator of the Mainsaver Database System for tracking and recording work orders, assets, PMs and Calibrations.
• Plans and coordinates all maintenance activities involving machine moves, extended repairs, overtime, new installations, renovations, and new construction through he use of Mainsaver.
• Develops preventive maintenance programs (with assistance from SMEs) for all equipment based on machine history, work order analysis by interviewing operators, maintenance personnel, team leaders, managers, and researching manuals supplied by the manufacturers.
• Develops preventive maintenance programs (with assistance from SMEs) on all HVAC, electrical panels, buss ducts and switches, transfer switches, generators, filtering systems and light fixtures.
• Analyses, reviews, and enters all work orders on production equipment and general maintenance in databases to provide up-to-date information.

• Organizes and enters all data for the documentation of installations and relocation’s of all manufacturing equipment.
• Works with site SMEs to develop new and improved methods of tracking data and makes changes accordingly.
• Updates maintenance library as new machinery arrives.

• Design custom reports and publishes pertinent information for Directors, Group Managers, Team Leaders, and other support personnel.
• Takes inventory of all machinery once per year and makes changes in database.
• Works with internal and external auditors and provides information required from our database to confirm compliance.

• Works with Purchasing to ensure facility/maintenance purchase requisitions are completed correctly and material is being shipped on time.
• Works with Accounting to make sure facility/maintenance bills are paid to the correct accounts.

Education:
Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing Technology, Machine Maintenance, or related degree or 3 years’ working experience in a facilities/maintenance environment utilizing maintenance routines and procedures.
• 3 years’ experience using a mainframe computer terminal (CRT) or personal computer with various software programs including preventive maintenance software.
• Knowledge of safety equipment and building maintenance requirements including HVAC, switches, filtering systems, and tool room processes.
Experience:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facility management and/or construction related field.
Experience working in a database environment with data entry and asset management.. Mainsaver BMS experience a plus
Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications including but not limited to Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of safety equipment and building maintenance requirements including HVAC, switches, filtering systems, and tool room processes.

Competences:

Strong facility management and experience required
Ability to balance tactical day-to-day issue with strategic positions and objectives required.
Strong work history of executing in a customer driven work setting
Experience working with cross-functional teams through project completion.
Experience with managing a team of outside-contract trade professionals
Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Project Management (including budget planning) experience required
Microsoft Office skill required; AutoCAD and Visio skill preferred.

Physical Demands:

Requires standing/walking/sitting 80 percent of the time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and greater than 50 pounds with assistance. Requires the ability to travel on aircraft, by car, bus, boat or other common transportation means. Require use of hands and arms to operate computers, copy machines, fax machines, telephones, and other equipment involved in the manufacture of the product. Requires the ability to hear and understand verbal communication. Visually perform essential functions for satisfactory job performance and safety.
