Shift: Monday-Friday
Job Description
Handyman (Drywall installation/repair experience- A MUST)
Thorough knowledge and experience to safely operate a wide array of hand and power tools
• Must have own power tools required to perform the required daily duties
• Drywall removal and installation/repairs, finishing work, wall repair and painting, flooring, ceiling repair, and installation of outlets.
• Inspect electrical grids under the floor, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
• Assign and schedule work tasks with other facility technicians in a team-oriented environment and perform initial evaluations of building systems and distribute work assignments.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work independently, with flexibility, and self-reliance
Competencies:
• Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and facilities maintenance and operations (preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal staff.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate with other contractors who perform maintenance at the location.
• Operate hand and machine tools.
• Operate basic electrical /power tools.
• Must be a self-starter, proactive, flexible, and deadline-focused
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand, sit, squat, lift and /or walk for the duration of the scheduled shift.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
Required Education and Experience
• High school diploma/GED minimum
• Minimum 5 years of related experience or training, plus formal electrical education/certifications
Required Skills
