MUST HAVE: Experience with ORACLE and aptitude to learn new systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office and GREAT soft skills, communication skills, written and verbal.
Scope:
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Support procurement processes to ensure that all required materials to execute the schedule are available
• Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
• Expedite and prioritize supply chain and logistics to meet standard, emergency, and short cycle customer demands.
• Interface and own timely updates to internal customers (Operations & Scheduling Team) to expedite and resolve fulfillment issues.
• Mitigate and minimize expediting fees and other expenses with suppliers.
• Ensure timely creation and release of Purchase Orders to support the master schedule.
• Drive Lean process improvements to mitigate and reduce fulfillment risk.
• Keep ERP up to date/clean by analyzing & executing on exception messages such as PO cancellation/reschedule requests on a daily basis. Mitigate and minimize cancellation fees through supplier negotiations.
• Identify all critical material shortages, monitor the implementation of corrective actions plans, control inventory levels of components
• Responsible for lead times, knowledge of supplier market shares and agreed prices
• Coordinate with Site Sourcing leader to negotiate vendor price or payment term change requests.
• Resolve Accounts Payable and invoice hold issues.
• Support key sourcing initiatives & supplier performance issues through continuous improvement projects.
• Coordinate with Supplier Quality to eliminate supplier defects, drive Vendor Cost of Failure recovery process, & RMA management
• Responsible for monitoring and updating ERP/MRP Oracle parameters as required
• Mitigate and minimize premium transportation requests.
• Support New product Implementations
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 3 years manufacturing, materials, or inventory management experience, (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
• ERP systems (Oracle) or equivalent working experience
